Where to start. So many things went wrong. Management was not very caring. Eventually offered us some compensation but 4 months later and we are still waiting for it. It's probably fine if nothing goes wrong, but questionable maintenance and poor management means I can not recommend it.

We had an amazing stay at the La Clef Louvre. Our room was spacious, by Paris standards, and adequately appointed. Our room had two large closets, a small kitchenette, and separate toilet and washrooms. We arrived early and were allowed an early check in since our room was already ready. Housekeeping had the room tip-top every afternoon when we returned from our wanderings. The staff was friendly as well as courteous and professional and we enjoyed our interactions with them. Complementary tea is offered from 3-5 in the breakfast room. Choices included tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mandolins, crepes, and pancakes. Location, Location, Location! This quaint hotel has the ideal location in the 1st arrondissement. Lots of cafes, shops and groceries are all within walking distance. The Louvre, of course, is right around the corner. The closest Metro station is Palais Royal - Musee du Louvre. You will need to walk to the 2nd stop to purchase and load metro cards (Louvre - Rivoli). This station is still a very short walk from the hotel. We used this station for our initial metro ride, but after we acquired our metro cards, we used the Palais Royal station from then on.

I travel all the time, all over the world, and I almost never take the time to post a review of a hotel after my return- just lazy, I guess, and I will change that by starting with La Clef Louvre. Everything about our stay there was perfect, and it was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had with a hotel. To begin, the location was incredible. I've been to Paris several times, but this was my first time staying in the 1st, and it was really special- just walking around the neighborhood every day was my favorite thing to do. Of course we went to museums, but life on the street was the main attraction. From our hotel we could walk anywhere, the river, parks, gardens, restaurants, shops across the Seine in the 6th, it was all very convenient and a lot of fun. The hotel was fabulous- we rented the Royal Suite and had a wrap around balcony that looked out over a square, a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. There was no street noise to speak of and the bed was comfortable. The suite wasn't cheap, but it was a VERY good value considering the quality and the location. We shopped in little markets and sat on the balcony each evening for a drink before going out to dinner, usually walking, and this added to the experience. The staff was terrific- everything we needed they took care of, and when we accidentally left behind a couple of pieces of art we bought at the flea market, they happily packaged them up securely and shipped them back to the States for us- and they arrived in perfect condition. I couldn't have been happier with our stay at La Clef Louvre and we WILL be back!

Amazing stay - we are a family of 6 including 4 teenage boys. We got 2 family rooms and it was perfect. Very spacious. Kitchenettes were so helpful. Grocery around the corner. Amazing vibrant location. Louvre is around corner. We only used metro 2 times our whole trip. Super staff. Gym is small but nice to have! Complementary tea and hot coco and snacks. Would go back in a heartbeat

Everything about this property is excellent. Be it cordiality of staff, cleanliness, quality of amenities, location. This was my second visit in two years. The front desk was very cordial and allowed early check in and late check out. Last year when I had stayed at the property with my wife, the staff was extremely helpful in arranging medical attention and took good care. This was hospitality beyond par.
